Paediatric Orthopaedics deals with orthopaedic problems observed at birth or during the child’s growth. Clubfoot (CTEV), foot turned inwards, foot turned outwards, hip dislocation, knee dislocation, torticollis (turned neck to one side), and obstetrical brachial plexus palsy are a few of the issues that can arise at birth.
A child may experience flat feet, gait, genu varus (bow legs), genu valgus (knock knees), and fractures as they grow. Since simple plasters and minor surgery can treat most of these conditions, it is crucial to time treatment for children. Additionally, children with cerebral palsy, a disorder that makes walking difficult for them, can benefit from both surgery and botox therapy.

Paediatric Orthopaedics focuses on orthopaedic conditions that are either present at birth or develop during a child’s growth. Common issues observed at birth include limb deformities of the upper and lower limbs, clubfoot (CTEV), inward- or outward-turned feet, hip dislocation, knee dislocation, torticollis (neck turned to one side), and obstetrical brachial plexus palsy. As children grow, they may experience conditions such as flat feet, abnormal gait, genu varus (bow legs), genu valgus (knock knees), and fractures. Timely diagnosis and treatment are crucial, as most of these conditions can be managed effectively with deformity correction, simple plaster techniques, or minor surgeries. Additionally, children with cerebral palsy, a condition that affects movement and walking ability, can benefit from specialised interventions including surgery and botox therapy.

We are proud to have a dedicated expert Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon on our panel, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care for our young patients.

We specialise in total and partial hip and knee replacement procedures and revision arthroplasty as part of our excellent joint replacement programme. Our surgeons use minimally invasive surgical techniques, helping you preserve your joint health.

Our uniquely customised physical and occupational therapy programmes help you get back to your feet within no time after a surgery or a traumatic incident.
